Mont Aigoual

The closest ski resort to Montpellier is undoubtedly the one on the slopes of Aigoual at Prat Peyrot. Located about 2 hours and 85 km from Montpellier, take the D986 towards Saint-Martin-de-Londres. It is the largest resort in the Cévennes.

Font-Romeu

Change direction by taking the A9 towards Béziers and exit 41 towards Perpignan, and you will reach the Font-Romeu resort in just over 3 hours. At 241 km from Montpellier, this winter sports resort in the Pyrénées-Orientales forms the Font-Romeu Pyrénées 2000 ski area with Bolquère-Pyrénées 2000.

Grandvalira (Andorra)

The principality of Andorra offers ski resorts near Montpellier at 300 km. Pra-Loup

Pra-Loup is located just below Vars and Risoul, 4 hours drive via the A9 towards Nîmes, A54 to Aix-en-Provence, A51 towards Gap, then Barcelonnette. You will appreciate the exceptional panorama over the valley and the variety of landscapes.

Serre-Chevalier

Considered the largest resort in the Southern Alps, Serre-Chevalier is accessible via the A9 towards Nîmes, the A54 towards Aix-en-Provence, and the A51 towards Briançon in 5 hours drive. The Écrins National Park is nearby.
